Photo Diary: Jolene goes to Pop Up Disney!

Over the weekend, I decided to splurge and attend Pop Up Disney: A Mickey Celebration, located at ESPN Zone's old home in Downtown Disney. Pop Up Disney! is Disney's an Instagrammer's heaven, composed of a number of themed rooms celebrating everyone's favorite mouse.

Please note that for the first time ever on this blog, these photos were NOT taken by me! They were taken by my friend Monte Dobbs. Please message me if you'd like her contact info, or you can find her at @montefotography on Instagram!

With a pretty hefty price tag, Pop Up Disney! isn't for everyone. Guests are limited to 10 minutes per room, often times striving for photos without other guests in the background. While this wasn't my first pop-up event of this nature, it was definitely the most stressful.

The rooms were, for the most part, well-lit and creative; there were some areas that I could have done without, and some that I couldn't get enough of. There was quite a disparity between the exceptional spaces and the less exciting ones.

Overall, it was a fun experience because I came with my photographer friend. We both enjoyed the space, the clever use of mirrors and the celebration of different aspects of Mickey, from his early appearances to the Sorcerer's Apprentice, and even more modern takes on one of the world's most recognizable icons.

Do you love Disney enough to visit this pop up?

Until next time,

Happy wandering!
